Los Angeles, CA (November 23, 2023) – On Thursday, a vehicle plowed into a crowd of pedestrians in the vicinity of a bus stop in the South Los Angeles neighborhood, seriously injuring at least two adults and a baby.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the collision occurred at 1758 West 83rd Street, a few blocks south of Florence Avenue and just east of Western Avenue, at around 1:30 p.m. According to the police, paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the three seriously injured individuals to a regional trauma hospital. Just two adults, a man and a woman, were named as the other two victims. One woman was later declared dead, per the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division. The woman’s 8-year-old daughter is in critical condition. An investigation is still ongoing in the interim.
