Los Angeles, CA (March 10, 2025) – A 46-year-old man was struck and killed on March 7 in a hit-and-run crash at Avenue 19 and Humboldt Street near the Glendale Junction, just west of Lincoln Heights.
The deadly crash occurred around 12:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The 46-year-old man, identified as Juan Amaya, was struck by a vehicle and suffered traumatic injuries, per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office report.
Los Angeles police spoke to witnesses who saw the pedestrian crossing Avenue 19 when he was hit by the motorist. The driver drove away from the crash site and failed to stop. Paramedics responded, but Juan Amaya was pronounced dead at the scene. However, no further details were released, and an investigation is ongoing.
