Anaheim, CA (November 22, 2023) – A guest at Disneyland was rushed to the hospital on Monday after injuries sustained in an accident.
Officials say that three individuals were hurt when a light post fell on the crowd at Disneyland Park on the morning of November 20. One of those victims is said to have suffered “serious injuries.” Just after the park’s opening time of 8:00 a.m. PT, at around 8:30 a.m. PT, the park’s Main Street, USA, area saw a light post topple down, prompting the response of Anaheim Fire and Rescue who took the parkgoer with the worst injuries to a nearby hospital. Sergeant Jon McClintock of the Santa Ana Police Department said that two other individuals hurt in the incident were treated for minor injuries at the site and were discharged. Throughout most of the morning, guests were unable to access the area since workmen were busy fixing the fallen post, though an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
