Los Angeles, CA (March 8, 2024) – Authorities are searching for a suspect hit-and-run motorist in Vista on Thursday night after a bicyclist was fatally struck.
As per the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 10:30 p.m., deputies assigned to the Vista Station and Traffic Division were dispatched to South Melrose Drive and Buena Vista Drive in response to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle rider. At the site, the bicyclist was pronounced deceased, and the driver allegedly fled the area. However, the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision are still the subject of an ongoing investigation.
