Los Angeles, CA (November 24, 2023) – On Thanksgiving night, two pedestrians were killed in a collision in Orange County. A 26-year-old motorist was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence after fleeing the scene of the accident.
On Thursday, at around 8:20 p.m., emergency personnel were sent to the scene of an accident in Orange, California, near the 700 block of North Shattuck Place, close to North Tustin Street and East Mayfair Avenue. A parked Chevrolet Silverado was struck by a southbound Ford F-250 that had swerved into two pedestrians, according to authorities. After being hit by the Ford, the two pedestrians were pronounced dead at the site by paramedics. The Orange County Jail received the suspect on two charges of gross vehicular manslaughter while drunk, one count of driving under the influence causing death, and one count of leaving the scene of a serious crash. Witnesses were asked to call Detective A. Rocha if they had any information on the fatal accident.
