San Diego, CA (March 12, 2025) – According to local authorities, investigators with the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred in the Mission Hills area.
Shortly before 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, a 69-year-old man was walking along the 2100 block of Hancock Street when he was struck by a white Dodge Challenger that was traveling southbound. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision, leaving the victim injured on the roadway, police said.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident, seeking any information that may lead to the identification of the suspect.
