Los Angeles, CA (May 23, 2024) – Authorities reported on Thursday that a driver hit and killed a 69-year-old pedestrian in Lincoln Heights, close to the Cesar Chavez Bridge.
An LAPD official informed City News Service that the incident was reported around 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday at Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Mission Road. Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department discovered that a car traveling west on Cesar Chavez had hit a pedestrian, who was declared deceased at the site by Los Angeles Fire Department officers. The driver, a male in his 24s, stayed on the scene and assisted the authorities. Detectives are requesting that anybody with further information on the accident contact them in the meantime.
