San Diego, CA (March 27, 2025) – A motorcyclist was hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday in the Mission Valley neighborhood.

The incident occurred around 2:25 p.m. at 5000 Texas Street, the San Diego Police Department watch commander said in a news release. A 55-year-old man riding a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Texas Street when an unknown person driving a dark gray SUV in the opposite direction made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist, who was hit by the vehicle, according to authorities.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with a broken nose and a deep laceration to the forehead. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening, police confirmed. Authorities are investigating to see if driving under the influence was a factor in the crash. However, witnesses were asked to get in touch with area authorities if they had additional information in the interim.
