Los Angeles, CA – Two Injured in Apt Complex Fire in Marina del Rey

Los Angeles, CA (September 18, 2023) – On Thursday, a major three-alarm fire destroyed an apartment complex in Marina del Rey, damaging around 30 apartments and injuring two people, including a fireman.

Apartments on the 4600 block of Via Marina called “Mariner’s Village” called the fire department at 2:50 p.m. The top floor of the three-story building was emitting smoke and flames.

The rapid growth of the fire resulted in the activation of a second and then a third alarm, requiring the combined efforts of county and municipal fire departments.

Finally, just before 6:00 p.m. in the evening, the fire was declared contained.

A representative for the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that a fireman was taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries. Another person was also sent to the hospital for treatment of burns.
