Los Angeles, CA (March 28, 2025) – An investigation was underway after a deadly crash following a police chase in the Westchester area on Friday morning, March 28.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were in pursuit of a possible DUI driver around 1:30 a.m. Authorities said they stopped chasing near Century Boulevard and Concourse Way due to how fast the suspect was going.
The driver continued and crashed into another car about a mile down the road at Sepulveda and Century boulevards near LAX. Two suspects ran from the crash site and were eventually detained. A passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Charles Miller described that individual as a possible juvenile boy.
A person in the car that was hit was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The suspect was taken into custody, but additional details about what led up to the chase were not available as an investigation continues. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of the deceased individual.
