San Diego, CA (April 7, 2024) – A suspected intoxicated driver hit and killed a motorcyclist in the San Diego neighborhood of Ridgeview/Webster, according to officials on Sunday.
A 58-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The collision happened Saturday night at 7:25 p.m. close to Lyons Street and Euclid Avenue. Per authorities, the suspect was traveling north on Euclid Avenue in a 2000 GMC Sierra truck when it turned left onto Lyons Street, heading west in front of the victim, who was riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. After being taken to a hospital by paramedics, the rider passed away from his injuries. No further details were released, but an investigation is ongoing.
