Los Angeles, CA (April 8, 2024) – After a wrong-way motorist in La Habra Heights struck a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officer’s vehicle head-on, the deputy was taken to the hospital on Monday morning.
It took place close to the junction of eastbound Canada Sombre Lane and northbound Hacienda Road at approximately 10:00 a.m. The deputy was driving south on Hacienda when, according to the LASD, a vehicle approaching from the north swerved into the oncoming lane and struck the deputy’s cruiser. The deputy suffered unknown injuries, and the forearm of the other driver was broken. They were both sent to a local hospital, and officers say the crash investigation is ongoing in the interim.
