San Diego, CA (September 14, 2023) – A man was killed by an Amtrak train heading south through San Diego on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on Grape Street, not far from California Street, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is now being looked into by the San Diego Police Department and the Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit (TEU).
The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is also asking for help during their investigation of the crash. Witnesses should contact Sergeant Jason King with additional information.
