Los Angeles, CA (September 14, 2023) – Late Thursday night, a suspected drunk driver caused a collision that claimed the life of an 87-year-old Sylmar woman.
The accident on Foothill Boulevard was reported just before 9:00 a.m. According to the police, the driver crashed into a parked car as two people exited the vehicle.
One of those victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The status of the second victim, who was taken to the hospital, was unknown.
The driver continued on and collided with at least five parked vehicles before they were arrested on a felony DUI charge. An investigation remains active in the meantime.
