Reseda, CA (March 20, 2026) – A crash following a freeway pursuit left two people injured on Friday, March 20, in the Reseda area. The accident occurred near Sherman Way and North Wilbur Avenue.
Authorities said the chase began around 3:30 a.m. near the DeSoto Avenue exit along the northbound U.S. Route 101 freeway. Officers attempted to stop a driver, but the person sped away, leading to a pursuit.
The driver, who operated a Dodge Durango, later crashed at Sherman Way and North Wilbur Avenue. Video from the scene showed the SUV with heavy front-end damage after the collision.
Several nearby vehicles also appeared to suffer damage during the incident. Debris from the crash was scattered across the roadway, and crews closed parts of the street while they worked to clear the area.
Paramedics treated the driver of the pursuit vehicle and another person who was not involved in the chase. Both patients were taken to a hospital for further medical care. Authorities have not released details about the severity of their injuries.
Police arrested the driver following the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
