Los Angeles, CA (September 26, 2023) – On Tuesday, a traffic crash occurred at the junction of Wiley Canyon Road and Lyons Avenue, sending two people to the hospital.
Several victims were involved in the incident, including a deputy from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to fire and law enforcement authorities.
Bernard Peters, the supervisory fire dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, said that the wreck happened at about 6:10 p.m. and that firefighters arrived four minutes later.
Per Lt. Dan Wolanski, watch commander of the SCV Sheriff’s Station, both the deputy and the other individual involved in the crash were transported with minor injuries. Wolanski said that he could not verify whether or not the deputy was on the way to a call when the accident occurred.
