Los Angeles, CA – Three Deputies Dead in Explosion on N E Ave

Los Angeles, CA (July 18, 2025) – An explosion in East Los Angeles on Friday morning killed three Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies, according to law enforcement sources.

The blast occurred on July 18, at the Biscailuz Regional Training Center, on 1060 North Eastern Avenue. The incident took place at about 7:30 a.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. The deputies were identified as Detective Joshua Kelley-Eklund, Detective Victor Lemus, and Detective William Osborn. All three were assigned to the LASD Special Enforcement Bureau’s Arson Explosives Detail.
