San Diego, CA (July 19, 2025) – A woman died after being hit by a vehicle at a home in Escondido on Thursday night, July 17, the Escondido Police Department said.
Police said officers and fire paramedics were called to a home in the 1600 block of South Maple Street around 9:40 p.m. for reports of a collision between a vehicle and a woman. According to police, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene despite immediate medical intervention by first responders. The woman’s identity has not yet been released, but the police department did say she was an Escondido resident. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased individual.
