Los Angeles, CA (January 4, 2024) – On Wednesday night, firefighters from Orange County put out an explosive fire at a residence in Seal Beach, which resulted in one death and one person being hospitalized, according to police.
At around 7:25 p.m., firefighters were sent to a two-story residence in the 3700 block of Violet Street. According to the Orange County Fire Authority, officials discovered serious flames emanating from the first level at the back of the property. Firefighters extinguished the fire in under an hour. However, after searching the building, responders discovered two victims, one of whom was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. The second victim’s condition is unknown, and authorities have not released additional details during their initial investigation.
