Los Angeles, CA (December 25, 2023) – On Sunday, firefighters put out a fire that had severely wounded one person inside a two-story house in Los Angeles’s Adams/Normandie neighborhood.
Per reports from Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart, the blaze was reported at 1770 West 27th Street at about 5:20 p.m. According to Stewart, 44 Los Angeles FD firefighters responded to the location and extinguished the fire in under an hour. Responders discovered a 44-year-old man who was critically hurt, and paramedics transferred the man to a hospital for the treatment of a severe leg injury and smoke inhalation. Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire and have not provided additional information at this time.
