Los Angeles, CA (December 26, 2023) – On Tuesday, search efforts continued in an effort to identify the driver who fatally struck a woman and fled from a scene in South Los Angeles on Saturday evening, December 23.
The incident happened at the junction of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Gramercy Place. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a 61-year-old woman was hit at about 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Upon arrival at the hospital, she was pronounced dead by paramedics. Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver, and witnesses were asked to contact Officer Marlo Lopez Del Haro of the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division if they had additional information.
