What to Do After a Car Accident in California

After a crash, your first step should be to seek medical attention. A doctor can identify injuries that are not immediately obvious, even if you feel fine. Medical records also help connect your injuries directly to the accident.

Once you are safe, document the scene before leaving. Take photos of the vehicles and the intersection, and exchange insurance information with the other driver. This information can be useful later if a claim is filed.

Before you speak with an insurance adjuster, you should consult a Los Angeles car accident attorney. A lawyer can investigate the crash, gather evidence, and communicate with insurance companies on your behalf.
