Chula Vista, CA (September 28, 2024) – A woman was struck and killed Saturday morning by at least one vehicle on the Ronald Packard (78) Parkway in Vista, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at about 5:05 a.m. on the westbound highway at South Emerald Drive. A SigAlert was issued at 5:35 a.m., closing the second and third lanes of the westbound route and the Emerald Drive on-ramp. However, no further details were released as officers continued to investigate the incident in the interim.
