Corona, CA (April 20, 2026) – A 25-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash early Sunday, April 19, on the Riverside (91) Freeway near the Green River Road off-ramp. The collision happened around 5:35 a.m. when a pickup truck reportedly traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes.
Authorities said the wrong-way vehicle, possibly a black Ford F-150, triggered a crash involving at least five other vehicles, including a big rig. Emergency units responded to the scene and began assisting those involved.
Officials identified the victim as Abel Quintero of Lake Elsinore. A truck driver involved in the crash was taken to Corona Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Investigators have not released further details about the events leading up to the accident.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
