Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2026) – Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Monday, February 23, in the Van Nuys neighborhood. Officers responded shortly after 6 a.m. to Balboa Boulevard and Keswick Street. 

When they arrived, they found an unidentified person lying in the middle of the street. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A red Chevrolet SUV with front-end damage stopped nearby. Investigators confirmed the driver remained at the location.

Officials shut down the southbound lanes of Balboa Boulevard at Keswick Street and redirected traffic through nearby streets. Police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision.
