Jurupa Valley, CA (February 23, 2026) – A 22-year-old man died after a hit-and-run crash on Saturday, February 21, in Jurupa Valley.
The accident occurred just after midnight near Van Buren Boulevard and Jurupa Road. Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a pedestrian who had been struck near the roadway. When they arrived, they found the man lying in the street. He died at the scene.
The Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Sean Heiderich of Los Angeles. Authorities said the driver fled before deputies arrived. Officials described the suspect vehicle as a sedan with major front-end damage, but they did not confirm the color.
The investigation remains active.
