San Diego, CA (June 1, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV while attempting to cross a highway in San Diego on Thursday, May 29.
The accident occurred around 5:20 a.m. Thursday, and the female pedestrian was walking along northbound Interstate 805 to 43rd Street when she was struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the California Highway Patrol.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her name and age were not immediately available. CHP officials said the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash. Authorities urged anyone with information regarding the accident to call CHP San Diego. No further information was available, but an investigation continues at this time.
