San Diego, CA (December 20, 2024) – A serious traffic collision prompted a road closure in Mira Mesa Friday morning, officials with the San Diego Police Department confirmed.
The incident, which involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. on Black Mountain Road at Gemini Avenue. Police initially said the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, though officers are working to potentially confirm the victim’s death. The ongoing investigation lasted for hours, but no other details were released in the interim. An investigation is still ongoing.
