San Diego, CA (October 5, 2024) – A collision between a vehicle and a San Diego Metropolitan Transit System trolley injured 17 people Tuesday in Chula Vista, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 4:35 p.m. at Industrial Boulevard and L Street, the Chula Vista Fire Department confirmed. Three of the 17 patients suffered major trauma and were taken to a hospital, according to fire officials. It is unknown if the victims were from the vehicle or trolley. No further details have been released as an investigation continues in the interim.
