Oceanside, CA (August 16, 2025) – Three people ended up in the hospital after an early morning traffic collision between a car and a motorcycle in Oceanside, police said on Saturday, August 16.
The collision occurred at 2:00 a.m. when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling eastbound on Mission Avenue reportedly struck a Volkswagen Beetle on the driver’s side, which was traveling northbound on Douglas Drive. Spokeswoman Gina Avalos of the Oceanside Police Department provided this information.
The 24-year-old motorcyclist and his 23-year-old female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. The driver was rushed to a hospital with major injuries, while the passenger was hospitalized with moderate injuries, Avalos said. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 19-year-old Oceanside resident, sustained injuries and was also hospitalized. She was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision, Avalos added. However, an investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been reported.
We hope the injured individuals recover swiftly.
