Los Angeles, CA (November 5, 2023) – At least two people were killed when a minivan being pursued by police smashed into a bus early Sunday morning in Los Angeles.
According to officials, preliminary reports from law enforcement indicate that five persons were hurt in the collision. The incident occurred at 5:00 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of East 17th Street and Main Street.
The Los Angeles Fire Department claimed that one passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. A victim from the car was then pronounced dead at the scene.
Three others required transportation to local hospitals. One of these other patients was reportedly confirmed deceased, but it is not known whether they were pedestrians or passengers.
The identities of the two victims remain unknown. An investigation is ongoing.
