Los Angeles, CA (October 21, 2023) – On Saturday evening, October 21, a man in an electric wheelchair was hit and killed by a vehicle in the South Gate area, per local authorities.
Officers with the South Gate Police Department say the incident happened on Tweedy Boulevard near the public library. Despite life-saving measures attempted by paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The causes of the accident have not been determined, though the driver is reportedly cooperating with officials as they conduct their inquiry.
