San Diego, CA (January 6, 2025) – According to local officials, a deadly multi-vehicle crash on I-15 brought traffic to a standstill early on January 5.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to I-15 northbound, just south of Miramar Way, at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday for a multi-vehicle collision. Per the CHP, four vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved in a collision, with at least one of those vehicles ending up in a ditch off of the freeway. Another vehicle reportedly hit a disabled vehicle that was sitting in the lanes.
One person was killed during the multi-vehicle collision, but details about that victim have not yet been released. However, an investigation is ongoing, and no further details were reported.
