Los Angeles, CA – One Dead, Several Hurt in Car Crash on 110 Fwy

Los Angeles, CA (February 25, 2025) – According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), one person was killed following an overnight crash on the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles.

California Highway Patrol officers were called to the southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway, near Slauson Avenue, just after 12:50 a.m. on February 25. Per the CHP, the driver of a Toyota Prius lost control and collided with the center divider, disabling the Prius.  Moments later, three other vehicles crashed into the Prius.

During that crash sequence, the driver of the Prius was struck while he was standing outside his vehicle, CHP said in a statement. The victim was declared dead at the scene; it’s unclear how many others were hurt, however. The identities of those involved were not immediately available. An investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information for police can contact CHP in the meantime. We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased individual.
