Clairemont Mesa, CA (December 14, 2023) – According to a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was killed early Monday morning in the Clairemont Mesa area on northbound U.S. Interstate 805.
The victim was struck by several cars, and Caltrans stated that all northbound lanes of I-805 would be closed immediately south of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, as reported by the CHP. According to CHP Officer Mark Latulippe, the CHP is investigating the incident, and the drivers who struck the pedestrian, who has not been identified, stayed at the site. No further details were released in the interim.
