Los Angeles, CA (June 30, 2025) – A pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car on the transition road from the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the westbound Marina (90) Freeway in Culver City was publicly identified Sunday.
Santos Martinez, 41, died from blunt traumatic injuries, according to the Medical Examiner’s office. His city of residence was not disclosed. The California Highway Patrol was notified at 4:25 a.m. Friday that a pedestrian had been struck by an Infiniti sedan. Martinez was pronounced dead by Culver City Fire Department personnel at 4:42 a.m., a CHP officer said. Meanwhile, troopers with the California Highway Patrol are still investigating and have not released further details.
