Studio City, CA (June 17, 2025) – Two people were killed on Tuesday in a multi-vehicle crash on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Studio City.
California Highway Patrol officers responded at 2:19 a.m. on June 17 to the westbound 101 and the Hollywood (170) Freeway junction with the Ventura (134) Freeway, near the Tujunga Avenue exit.
Upon arrival, they found that a black sedan, a gray SUV, and a white semi-truck had been involved in the collision and were blocking some of the freeway lanes, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig. The victims — a male and female whose names and ages were not immediately available — were pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. In the meantime, no further details were released, and an investigation is ongoing. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased victim.
