Santa Ana, CA (February 19, 2025) – A 33-year-old man riding a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle in Santa Ana, authorities said Sunday.
The motorist driving the vehicle stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with police, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. The crash occurred at about 6:20 p.m. near Raitt and Myrtle Streets.
The bicyclist was going southbound on Raitt Street at the time of the accident, police confirmed. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. It’s unclear if citations or charges are pending; anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Santa Ana Police Department.
