San Diego, CA (October 7, 2023) – On Saturday, two pedestrians were struck by a car while in the Bay Park area.
Two women were crossing the street in the southbound lane of the 1700 block of Knoxville Street just before 7:00 p.m., as reported by the San Diego Police Department.
A 79-year-old woman was driving south on the same roadway in a 2013 Toyota Venza at the time, and she allegedly hit both people.
One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, including rib, pelvic, and spinal fractures. The other victim was evaluated for injuries at the scene.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Unit is looking into the wreck in the interim.
