San Diego, CA – Two Hospitalized in Collision at Santa Fe & Lake Drs

San Diego, CA (December 8, 2024) – California Highway Patrol troopers reported that a two-vehicle collision in Encinitas on Friday left one person with life-threatening injuries and another with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred shortly before 2L00 a.m. at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Lake Drive. According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the crash involved a 24-year-old male driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Santa Fe Drive and a 16-year-old female driving a 2016 Nissan Frontier westbound on Santa Fe Drive. The driver of the Nissan Frontier remained on the scene and was uninjured. However, the drivers’ current conditions, along with the status of any other injured victims, are unknown. An investigation is ongoing in the interim.
