Los Angeles, CA (May 6, 2024) – A commercial truck hit and injured a man next to his car on Highway 99 in Keyes early Monday, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The 41-year-old Los Angeles man suffered significant injuries and was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, a news release added. The nature of his injuries was not clear. Officers said the victim had exited a Kia sedan on the west side of southbound Highway 99, north of Keyes Road, when he was struck by a Freightliner box truck just before 6:00 a.m. Alcohol or drugs are not suspected. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
