San Diego, CA – Six Dead in Plane Crash at PCH & Coronado Isle

San Diego, CA (June 9, 2025) – Six people were killed after a plane crashed into the ocean five miles off the coast near the Pacific Coast Highway through San Diego, authorities said.

The twin-engine Cessna 414 crashed at around 12:30 p.m. on June 8, not long after it took off, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The plane was returning to Phoenix one day after flying out from Arizona. Although the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said all six people on board the plane were killed, authorities haven’t identified them.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating. It was not clear who was flying the aircraft when it crashed, but local authorities continue to investigate the incident. We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased individuals.
