San Diego, CA (January 22, 2025) – A pedestrian was seriously injured on Tuesday, January 21, after being hit by a car in Chula Vista, authorities said.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded to reports of a crash at Third Avenue and Palomar Street around 5:20 p.m. Once on scene, police discovered a silver 2012 Nissan Leaf had struck a 42-year-old man.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The on-scene investigation lasted for hours, but no other details were released in the interim. An inquiry into the cause of the collision is still ongoing, and witnesses were asked to step forward.
