San Diego, CA (August 23, 2025) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured on Saturday, August 23, during a hit-and-run crash in the Mount Hope community of San Diego, and the alleged driver of the other vehicle was later arrested, authorities said.
A speeding eastbound Ford Fusion rear-ended the 45-year-old biker at about 3:00 a.m. on Saturday in the 3500 block of Market Street, according to the San Diego Police Department. The car fled the scene, and paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital, where he was treated for a brain bleed and a fractured pelvis.
The Fusion was later located unoccupied in National City, police said. Its alleged driver was also located and arrested, authorities added. However, an investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been reported. We hope the injured parties recover swiftly.
