San Diego, CA (September 2, 2024) – A 32-year-old man on a Honda motorcycle was killed Sunday evening, September 1, in a head-on crash with a Chevrolet SUV in San Pasqual Valley. San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said the crash was reported at 8:35 p.m. on San Pasqual Valley Road at Cloverdale Road.
Buttle said the motorcycle was eastbound on San Pasqual Valley Road when the incident took place. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. A description of the victim was not immediately available. Police said later that the driver of the Chevrolet and two passengers complained of pain.
San Pasqual Valley Road was shut down in both directions for an investigation. That said, investigators said DUI was not considered a factor in the collision. The inquiry is active at this time. We offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
