San Diego, CA (February 14, 2025) – A 61-year-old man was killed in a South Bay motorcycle crash Thursday evening, February 13, authorities said.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, several calls came in around 7:35 p.m. reporting a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle near the intersection of La Media and Otay Lakes Roads.
Witnesses, along with police and fire personnel, performed life-saving measures on the motorcyclist. Despite their efforts, the man was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old male from Chula Vista, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation, police said.
