San Diego, CA (May 12, 2024) – Authorities reported that a 26-year-old man was injured early Sunday morning when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in the Rolando area.
The accident occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 7000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, near the intersection of 70th Street in the Rolando region. A 20-year-old woman driving her 2021 Nissan Altima struck the pedestrian, and officers say he was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a fractured pelvis. The San Diego Police Department confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the crash, though an investigation remains ongoing.
