San Diego, CA (April 18, 2024) – A man died after he was struck by a train at the Old Town Transit Center late Thursday morning, a sheriff’s official said.
Lt. Mike Davis said the incident happened shortly before 10:00 a.m. at the station, which is at Pacific Highway and Taylor Street. The man was struck by an Amtrak train and died at the scene as a result of severe injuries he sustained. No further information was immediately available, but officers with the San Diego Police Department continued to investigate.
