San Diego, CA (April 16, 2024) – A California Highway Patrol officer reported that late Monday night, a 65-year-old pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a sedan in the Spring Valley area of San Diego.
A collision was reported at 10:55 p.m. on eastbound State Route 94 near Old Campo Road, according to a news release from Officer Jared Grieshaber. Grieshaber stated that investigators determined the pedestrian was hit by the driver of an Audi A4. He passed away before his transport to the hospital. According to the CHP officer, the driver abandoned the vehicle at the collision site and fled on foot. The incident is currently being investigated, and no further details were released.
