San Diego, CA (November 26, 2024) – Authorities on Monday publicly identified a 60-year-old man who was killed last week in a bicycle crash in the Black Mountain Ranch area.
James Osmus of San Diego was riding west in the bicycle lane on Camino Del Sur at Casey Glen shortly before 7:00 p.m. Friday when he was involved in a crash with a Volkswagen sedan traveling in the same direction, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
Despite life-saving attempts on the part of the involved motorist and paramedics, Osmus died at the scene of the accident, the agency reported. It’s unclear if citations or charges are pending; anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the San Diego Police Department.
